Youth Excellence Seminar
AQHYA is hosting the 2024 Youth Excellence Seminar July 9-11, in Amarillo, Texas. Registration is $150 for current AQHYA and AQHA members and $165 for all other youth and adults. The YES registration deadline is June 1. Registrations received after June 1 will be charged a $25 late fee and are subject to availability. All registration fees include meals. During the 2024 Youth Excellence Seminar, AQHYA members will attend educational seminars, participate in community service activities and elect new AQHYA officers and directors.
Officer and Director Applications
The 2024-2025 officer and director application deadline is June 1. Candidates will complete an online application covering contact and affiliate information and answers to a series of questions about leadership, goals and community service. Don’t miss the opportunity to make a difference in AQHYA and add the title of AQHYA officer or director to your list of achievements!
AQHYA ASPIRE Award
The AQHYA ASPIRE Award will also be presented at the Youth Excellence Seminar. The ASPIRE Award is a $1,000 award for an AQHYA member who excels in leadership and service. The award assists in developing and improving scholarship, leadership and community interest, and participation of young horsemen. YES Travel Grants
The American Quarter Horse Youth Association and AQHA International department are proud to offer travel grants to be awarded to 2024 Youth Excellence Seminar attendees. Four grants each will be offered to both international and domestic participants to assist in offsetting travel expenses for those wanting to attend YES. About the Youth Excellence Seminar
The Youth Excellence Seminar welcomes AQHYA members and nonmembers, ages 10 to 18, to experience this three-day, fun-packed event that offers valuable leadership skills, inspiring speakers and AQHYA governance activities. AQHYA officer and director elections will also take place during YES.
