“There has been great response to the Beth Buechler Limited Series,” reported Congress Chair Casey West. “We’re looking forward to this event becoming one of the highlights of the Congress.”
Per Sponsor Chair Clea Bobbitt, “We can’t thank Micki Hagen enough for the Tack Room’s donation of the Pessoa saddle for the winner of the Limited Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle class. She was also instrumental in helping Julie Marweg, Gillespie Show Horses and Living Large along with Garrett Farms Equine Division with obtaining their donated awards.”
Awards include Phil Harris work saddles for the Champions of the two Western Pleasure classes, thanks to Black Hawk Coal Company, Jim Buechler, and Michele Truxal. Show & Tell Blankets from Loni Rhodes will be awarded to the Western Pleasure classes Reserve Champions, with a Showmark English bridle and reins donated by Tina Langness Performance Horses for the Champion Open Limited HUS. Additional awards include an Edgewood bridle and reins and leather halter donated by the Living Large group, custom stall curtains from Cowboy Couture, director chairs from Garrett Farms Equine Division, ‘tall boy’ custom wooden director chairs from BooYah Custom Clothing. Logoed stall front horsewear bags will be presented to the top ten in each class.
Sponsors either donating items or contributing financially include: Barbara’s Custom Hats, Jamie Bishop, Bobbitt Pleasure Horses, Russ Conklin family, Ken Cunningham, Jeff Fischer, Jerry Fitzgerald, Becky George Show Horses, Hershberger Leather, Kerry House, John Simon/Erin Bradshaw, Kegley Pleasure Horses & Trailer Sales, Brooke/Teri Ketchum, Greg Kokemiller family, MnM Baus, Rockin’ Bar S/Kevin & Nancy Smith, Wade Spell Show Horses and Jill Stenroos.
“We want to thank Darrel Bilke and the Pinto Horse Association of America for helping publicize the Paint Congress and this event by distributing flyers at the Pinto World Show. Several inquiry calls during and afterwards have resulted from this exposure. We’ve had inquiries and interest from potential exhibitors who would not ordinarily have made the trip to Tulsa. It’s the spirit in which this event was designed that’s the big key in attracting some new exhibitors to the Paint Congress.”
