Since its inception, the APHA Breeders’ Futurity program has provided a slate of classes available exclusively to Breeders’ Trust offspring at the APHA World Show. The Gold division of the Breeders’ Futurity is open to any Breeders’ Trust-nominated foal, and the only additional eligibility criteria is that the foal’s dam is nominated to the Gold Division.
APHA is excited to announce several new modifications to the program in 2022 and beyond:

New Non-Pro classes: Non-Pro 5-Year-Old & Under Hunt-Seat Equitation, Non-Pro 5-Year-Old & Under Showmanship, Non-Pro 5-Year-Old & Under Trail, Non-Pro 5-Year-Old & Under Western Horsemanship
Performance classes- April 15 – $175, June 1 – $325
Halter classes- July 15 – $175, September 1 – $325
“The Gold division of the Breeders’ Futurity saw some huge increases in 2021,” APHA Director of Advertising & Incentive Programs Matt Arias said. “About $190,000 was paid out between the World Show and the Lone Star Gathering. We had more mares nominated in 2021 than ever before. We are excited to add classes for non-pros, which will allow a new group to earn payouts in the program. These modifications will help the program continue to grow.”
The 2022 mare nomination forms will be available online later this month. The complete rules and program details will be available in January. Please contact Matt Arias by email or call (817) 222-6441 for more information.
