Who’s ready for the Equine Chronicle Color Classic 2-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure Slot class?! Just like last year, this prestigious class has been split into two divisions. The Open division slot class will take place this evening, and the Limited division slot will take place Saturday night.
Back, due to popular demand, is FREE ENTRY and a guaranteed minimum payback of $25,000! To add even more money to the pot, a special Maiden Bonus will be awarded in the Open division to the horse making its show ring debut here at the Reichert Celebration.
The prize list for both classes is impressive. The Limited Champion will receive a sizeable check, rose neck wreath, Reichert medallion, a golf cart, and other complimentary sponsor gifts. The Open Champion will receive the winner’s check, rose neck wreath, Reichert medallion, sponsor gift bag, and one year’s use of a Featherlite Trailer, courtesy of Gary and Tammy Raak.
The audience will have the chance to score an incredible prize as well; a stunning $2,500 gold and diamond horseshoe ring will be up for grabs, courtesy of Gold Creations. The Rock N Roll Fundraiser is back for 2014 to benefit the Reichert Equine Foundation Scholarship Fund. Tickets may be purchased on the show grounds for $10 a piece or three for $25.
The delicious Sweet Shop cinnamon rolls will be handed out during Saturday evening’s Buyer’s Choice 2-Year-Old Open Stakes Championship. One of the rolls will contain the 14 karat, white gold ring featuring double horseshoes encrusted with diamonds and a magnificent center stone.
While you’re waiting for the cinnamon rolls to be presented, visit the dinner and cash bar that will take place August 30th, 5-7 pm on the John Justin Concourse inside the Richardson Bass building during the Reichert 2-Year-Old Buyers Choice and Equine Chronicle Color Classic Limited division.
This evening’s slot classes will not start before 5 pm. On the schedule for tonight is the Reichert Sale Stakes 2-Year-Old Non Pro Western Pleasure, Reichert Sale Stakes 2-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure, and Equine Chronicle Color Classic 2-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure.
We’ll see you there!
