WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Tuesday announced its 2014-15 preseason rankings, as determined by the NCEA Selection Committee.
Georgia, the 2014 NCEA Champion, is the nation’s No. 1 team in the preseason. The Bulldogs captured their sixth NCEA Overall Championship this past April.
South Carolina, the 2014 NCEA runner-up and the 2014 SEC Champion, is second in the preseason rankings. Oklahoma State is ranked No. 3 and Auburn is No. 4; both were semifinalists at the NCEA Championships a year ago.
Baylor is ranked No. 5, Kansas State is No. 6 and TCU is No. 7. All three were NCEA quarterfinalists last season.
Texas A&M checks in at No. 8, New Mexico State is No. 9 and 2014 NCEA quarterfinalist SMU is No. 10.
The 2015 NCEA Championship will take place April 15-18 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
