Tampa, Fla. – Oct. 25, 2017 – The popular Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit will return to the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center at the Tampa State Fairgrounds on Thursday, Dec. 28, and will run through Sunday, Dec. 31.
In 2015, the event earned the distinction of being named one of the top 15 American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) shows. The Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit welcomed nearly 6,100 AQHA entries from coast to coast in 2015 as well as additional National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) and non-AQHA entries for a grand total of 7,563 entries, a remarkable increase of more than 3,500 entries from 2014. In 2016, that number increased substantially, recording 11,223 entries across all divisions and judges and moving the event up to a top 10 recognized AQHA circuit.
New this year will be the addition of the Versatility Ranch Horse classes as well as more leveling in the trail classes to allow trainers and exhibitors to bring an additional horse or two.
In addition to being the perfect place to welcome in the new year, exhibitors can look forward to a number of much anticipated improvements highlighted by the all-weather footing and the extensive and well-planned drainage systems installed in all of the outdoor rings at the Tampa State Fairgrounds, ensuring perfect footing no matter the conditions.
With four days of competition under numerous judges, the Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit presents exhibitors with great opportunities to earn points in the beautiful Florida weather.
