Tampa, FL.- February 14, 2017- The Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit once again demonstrated its continued success by earning the distinction of being named one of the top 10 American Quarter Horse Association circuits for 2016. Managed by Mark Harrell Horse Shows, preeminent Quarter Horses and exhibitors came from Maine to California to compete in the renowned event at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center located at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
Each year, management teams throughout the country strive to become among the top 10 AQHA circuits in the country, which is determined by the total number of entries in the previous year. In 2015, the Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit was named one of the top 15 AQHA shows posting 7,563 entries, including the NSBA and non-AQHA entries. That number increased substantially in 2016 welcoming 11,223 entries across all divisions and all judges, landing them in the seventh spot overall. “It’s such an honor to be chosen as one of the top 10 AQHA circuits of 2016,” says Kathy Avolt of Mark Harrell Horse Shows. “We would like to thank everyone, including the exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, and trainers. The success of our event would not be possible without their generous support.”
In 2017, the Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit will be even bigger with outstanding prizes and additional divisions, including classes in cattle, reining, and speed.
“We will continue to work hard to provide a first-rate show for our exhibitors,” says Avolt. “We want the Florida Gold Coast Circuit to be an important destination for the best Quarter Horses in the country.”
