Exhibitors Heat Up Competition at Chilly Gordyville/LLQHA Valentine’s Show

Albeit the chilly temperatures, AQHA competitors heated up the competition at the Gordyville and Land of Lincoln Valentine’s Show over the weekend. The event was well attended with close to 6,000 entries.

In addition to a full schedule of AQHA classes, there was a number of NSBA added money events like $1,000 added L1 Trail, L1 Western Pleasure, and L1 Hunter Under Saddle, as well as new Versatility Ranch classes.

Judges for the event were Sara Simons, Keith Miller, Jason Smith, Russ Smith, Brent Tincher, and Chad Evans.

The NSBA $1,000 Trail Champion was Tommy Sheets with Im Real Classie for Elizabeth Maggert. The NSBA $1,000 Western Pleasure Champion was Doug Rath with Happy Tales To You for Brianna Merklin, who tied with Kenny Lakins and Shadesofbatterlecious for Natasha Ordoff. The $1,000 Hunter Under Saddle Champion was Jennifer Burton with Always Hot N Sunny for Jennifer Stoever.

Jennifer Paul and Cruize won the Open All Around title for Stephanie Janis. The Novice Youth 13 and Under Champion was Nichole Pezan with Soo Sophisticated. Winning the Novice Youth 14-18 and Rookie Youth title was Benjamin Kortz with Wrap Up The Money.

The Amateur All Around Champion was Katie Mitchell with Sure Enough Lazy. The Select All Around Champion was Tammy Dewey with Rios Marecedes.

Emma Pezan won her first All Around title in the Small Fry division with RR Making It Happen. The Youth 13 & Champion was Emma Gore with My Only Good Shoes. The Youth 14- 18 Champion was Caroline Fredenburg with Sudenlysophisticated.
