There is some exciting news coming for the 2019 Breeders Halter Futurity

1. In the DIY Classes, the winning exhibitor cannot show in the same class the following year, but the first place horse is eligible to return as long as they have not been in the top 3 of any BHF Amateur, Youth or Open class or in the top 3 of the AQHA Amateur or Open World Show. Please remember that all horses must be nominated every year in order to remain to eligible to show.

2. Previously in the BHF Color Division classes, the top 3 horses have been ineligible to return to the BHF Color Division. In the future, only the first place horse is ineligible to return to the BHF Color Division. Please remember that all horses must be nominated every year in order to remain eligible to show.

3. The BHF Color division includes stallions in the following registries: APHA, ApHC, PHBA, IBHA, ABRA, and ARHA. Special bonus for new stallions in the BHF Color Division Amateur and Open — 2018 foals will be eligible to show as yearlings. No 2018 nomination fee due, just pay the yearling nomination fee as per the schedule.

4. If you are interested in having your stallion participate in the Breeders Halter Futurity, please contact Karen Kennedy at kkennedy.nhc@gmail.com. Stallion Nomination Forms have been sent out to all currently participating stallions.

5. Special bonus for new stallions in the BHF Regular Open Division — 2018 foals will be eligible to show. No 2018 nomination fee is due, just pay the yearling and all future nominations as per the schedule. Please remember that all horses must be nominated every year in order to remain eligible to show.

6. Our dates are set for September 11-15, 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa.

7. Judges will be Ronnie Casper, Jodi Finkenbinder, Steve Heckaman, Chip Knost, John Lawrence, Tommy Manion, Buddy Talbert, and Bruce Walquist.
