The Stars N Stripes & Big A looks to be another amazing event. Stalls are up from last year (nearly 900) and there are so many changes, great new parties, classes, and more! Please do not pull onto the grounds expecting an open stall or RV. Have you called ahead for your shavings? Please call Queen Wood Products at 770-860-9111 and your shavings can be waiting for YOU upon arrival. Even better? The GQHA Youth are offering to pre-bed your stalls for you. Long drive? What would be better than having your shavings spread out & your horse can immediately ‘mess them up?’

FLAT RATE! Did you realize that in addition to the flat rate AQHA option, there is now a FLAT RATE NSBA option as well? FOUR sets of NSBA points are available in the Dual/Approved classes. In addition, the Show For Dough program is awarding more than $7,200 to the Showmanship, Horsemanship & Equitation classes! SCORE! All you have to do is enter the SFD NSBA portion of these classes. Not sure how to do this? Just ask in the office. Super easy!
Just added! Queen Wood Products is awarding three (3) $750 checks to the exhibitors in the following classes:
1 – The composite winner of the Green/Level 1 Senior Trail for Big A 1.
2 – The circuit champion in the Youth Performance Geldings at the Big A.
3 – The composite winner of the Select Western Pleasure during the Big A 2.
No additional entry is required! Just show!
REMINDERS!
1 – Be prepared to present COMPLETE paperwork in the office. Even if you showed with us last week. That includes registration papers, AQHA & NSBA cards, NSBA certificate of eligibility if showing in any of the SFD Futurity classes, ROM and more. You can download the tab sheet at home, make copies of your papers, cards, etc, attach a check, and you can zoom in and out of the office faster than the Jumpers in the Grand Prix arena.
2 – Back Numbers will be assigned in the show office. ONLY those sold through the GQHA/HQHA reserved back number program will be honored.
3 – Payment – a check or credit card will be required for ALL entries to be accepted. All checks made payable to GQHA.
4 – Parties! There are so many parties available to enjoy. Water at nearly every arena. A breakfast nearly every morning. Popsicles in the concierge room. Just need a cool place to sit down? Come to the concierge room and veg on a couch. The concierge room is the place for all your answers. Need a septic pump? Check. Need a restaurant recommendation? Check. Want to find tickets to an Atlanta hot-spot? Check. Pick up your day prizes or awards? Check.
5 – Scratches – we do not charge for scratches. Enter everything and scratch as needed. New this year is an easy add/scratch sheet in the office. Futurity classes – you may scratch these without penalty as long as the sheets have not gone to the arena. If they have, the monies are figured & you will be charged for the class. Please scratch in advance.
6 – Permits – the permit requirement for top ten shows has been WAIVED for both circuits. You made ride a non-family owned horse in the Level 1 Youth/Amateur classes without a permit.
Patterns – they are AVAILABLE. Download them for free at home. It is a big download!

Corporate Challenge
This top-20 show is back with a new schedule! Five days this year to allow a little more time to enjoy the great restaurants in the St Paul area. Looking for ROOKIE classes? The Corporate Challenge has them! Added money in the Green/Level 1, Jr & Sr Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle Classes. No additional entry required. Also new this year is a FLAT RATE NSBA option. Show in as many NSBA D/A classes per S/C show for only $35 per S/C. Owner and exhibitor must be a member, but we can sell you a membership in the office. The show office will open Tuesday morning of the week of the show. Stalls are up from last year and many new faces have reserved those stalls. You should be coming north. Please call Terry Snyder at 218-360-5905 to see if stalls or RV spots are available. Do NOT forget the exciting $1,500 Bridleless Trail class. Sponsored by Barbie Evans and Bunting Performance Horses. Laughter, big scores, and more will return. Athens Summer Jubilee
Did you see that the Athens Summer Jubilee showbill is new this year? Show halter once. Split pen Showmanship. VRH classes added! The exhibitor party is back with a Taco Bar and Margaritas! Ole!
