AQHA Publicity
All Adequan® Select exhibitors are invited to enter the 2020 AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), scheduled for August 31 – September 6 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to welcome all Select exhibitors to compete at this year’s show since the AQHA Executive Committee waived the qualifying requirements due to the coronavirus pandemic,” said Justin Billings, AQHA chief show officer. “For the first time, this year’s show will feature Level 3 and Nutrena Level 1 classes for riders and their American Quarter Horses to compete in. Also new this year, exhibitors will have the ability to enter an optional jackpot in each class with 100% payback.”
Entry Information
Exhibitors interested in competing at the 2020 Adequan® Select World can access entry forms online. Entries close August 1.
Once your entry form is submitted, fill out the Adequan® Select World exhibitor bio form. The information will be used by the AQHA Media Team and shared with additional media outlets during the show.
View the current health and safety guidelines for the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Be sure to check the document before heading to the show, as the facility is frequently updating guidelines based on evolving health and safety requirements. The show will be held with social-distancing protocols in place, and the Association will continue to monitor local, state and federal government mandates related to the coronavirus pandemic prior to the show. In the event the show is cancelled, AQHA will share additional information on AQHA.com, and exhibitors will receive a full refund.
Performance Halter Requirements
Horses competing in performance halter at the Adequan® Select World must abide by AQHA Rule SHW365.3 for performance halter eligibility regarding having earned a Register of Merit. With the exception of racehorses that have earned an ROM, all other performance halter-eligible horses are required to enter and legitimately compete in a performance class at the Adequan® Select World. When showing in the performance class, exhibitors must maintain the integrity of the performance class in which they are competing. Judges will adhere to AQHA Rule SHW910.5 when judging the performance class, “eliminate any horse/exhibitor as an entry which he/she feels is in violation of the intent of AQHA’s prohibited conduct rules, or which he/she does not feel has legitimately attempted to exhibit the horse to the best of the horse’s ability.”
