Press release
FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU Western head coach Kindel Walter announced the addition of Elizabeth Bohn Monday afternoon to the equestrian program.
“I am so excited to sign Lacey to our Western team,” said Walter. “She has been really successful at some of the highest levels of competition, including the Congress and AQHYA World Show. Lacey works extremely hard and is the type of student-athlete that will be incredibly successful both in the NCEA and at TCU. We look forward to next fall when she arrives.”
Bohn, who hails from Clayton, N.C., will don the Purple and White next fall after placing in the top-10 in Horsemanship at the 2013 AQHYA World Show. She also earned a prestigious AQHA Superior in Hunt Seat Equitation in Oklahoma City.
The future Horned Frog has also excelled at the Congress level, placing in the top-10 in Hunter Under Saddle twice, while earning multiple top-five performances in Equitation. Finally, Bohn, who is homeschooled, placed in the top-10 in Horsemanship at Congress during the 2010 campaign.
No. 8 TCU closed out the fall season with a 4-3 overall record, including a 2-1 mark in Big 12 action. The Frogs will have two months off before battling Delaware State at the Fort Worth Stock Show on Friday, Feb. 7.
