EC Photo of the Day – The Secret to Keeping a Show Horse Happy

 

“The secret to keeping a show horse happy….get him a chicken of his very own!” says Ginny Tauer.  This is Invited for Chocolat, aka “Teddy,” a 2018 ApHC gelding. “Teddy loves them!” Also, note the droopy lip, she adds.

Teddy has several pet chickens, who lay eggs in his stall.  “After that picture, there were four chickens roosting on his wall and three in his stall!” explains Taylor Pearson, his trainer.
