EC Photo of the Day: Red Horse, Red Hair, Red Dress

Today’s The Equine Chronicle Photo of the Day is a set that comes from Allison Hinson, the 2018 South Carolina Quarter Horse Association Queen. Allison shared these lovely photos of her horse, These Irons Are Strait, that were taken by Amanda Delgado of Southern Horse Photography.

“The photos were taken at the Myrtle Beach State Park in South Carolina two weeks ago. I am the current South Carolina Quarter Horse Association Queen, and Amanda is my photographer sponsor for the year, so we decided to switch up the normal queen photos and create something new.”

“The horse is mine. He’s a 5-year-old, 16.3 gelding by These Irons Are Hot. His name is These Irons Are Strait. He’s a multiple PHBA World Champion. We won the Novice Amateur and the Amateur Hunter Under Saddle last year. He also placed 6th at the NSBA World show in the BCF 3-6-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle last year and was shown at Congress in the Queen’s Horsemanship.”

“There was no particular reason for the red dress, except that it was different from all of the other beach photos we had seen. Red hair, red dress, and almost red horse, Ha Ha!”
