Hello from Day 2! After 8 hours of Trail, everyone is still smiling! Mostly, I think that’s because it didn’t rain on our parade today. Hopefully, by tomorrow, all the outside pens will be dried out. The 13 & Under classes continue to impress here at the Stars & Stripes. Not too often do you see the entries exceed the 14-18. That’s a great sign for the industry!
The circuit winner in the 13 & Under L3 Trail was Emily Mastroleo with Hot Rageous Rodder. The 14-18 L3 Trail circuit was Emma Brown with Some Hot Potential. The Senior Trail was the largest of the day with 64 entries shown. No stranger to the winners circle, Some Hot Potential took the L3 circuit with Jennifer Paul. The Hunters started their show today as well. Some winners include Up Up and A Bay with Chuck Briggs in the Progressive Working Hunter, and the Hunter Under Saddle star turned all around Not Just Anyhoo with Ryan Painter! Let’s stay positive friends, no more rain! Western riding, Pleasure and Horsemanship shows in the morning.

Day 2 of the Stars N Stripes welcomed lots of sunshine and large classes! In the covered pen, Trail took up most of the day, while the Hunters got started in the outside rings for their first day of showing. While there was a bit of a hitch in the schedule, due to the facility wide power outage, the show kept going thanks to Kathy Avolt driving around to all the barns keeping everyone informed! The youth Trail classes all had quite a few entries, but, what was so amazing was that the 13 & Under Trail had 20 entries! While I love the Trail classes, I know I’m sure looking forward to the pleasure classes tomorrow! Day 3 will include Western Riding, Pleasure, Horsemanship, and another full slate of Hunter events!
