We started off this morning with Performance Halter Geldings (22 in the class) but we did not make Finals. My Charlie is not a “halter horse,” so I never really expect him to place. We went on to the Horsemanship Preliminaries and I made the finals, as did several of my friends, Connie Marvik, Kathy Tobin, and Susie Johns! It should be a very competitive Finals on Friday!
I got to see my friend, Gordon Downey, from The Equine Chronicle. His cheery smile always brightens our day! Kip even got in on the photo fun!
Good news for some of my other friends here at the Select World: Kerri Garber was Top Ten in Ranch Pleasure and Sally Sutherland was a finalist in Ranch Pleasure and Top Ten in Reining! Then, Connie Marvik finished 7th place and Dan Yeager finished 3rd in Western Pleasure!
The Northwest made a good showing today!
To finish out the evening, we schooled the patterns for the Showmanship Finals and the Equitation Preliminaries, both are tomorrow.
Going to get up early and school, so off to bed.
More later…..
