Dancin N The Dirt Crowned 2020 AQHA World Superhorse

During the past three weeks, the top exhibitors and horses have been competing at the 2020 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); Adequan® Level 2 Championships; Nutrena Level 1 Championships; and AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals. The 2020 Farnam Superhorse Award is the top honor at the Farnam AQHA World. The Farnam Superhorse title is awarded to the horse that earns the most points in three or more Level 3 events in three categories during the show.

The 2020 Farnam Superhorse is Dancin N The Dirt, owned by Sandy Vargo of Plain City, Ohio. The 2011 bay gelding, by Hot N Blazing and out of Caught You Dancin, was bred by AQHA Professional Horsewoman Leslie Vagneur Lange of Greeley, Colorado. Dancin N The Dirt earned 33 points and was shown by AQHA Professional Horseman Chuck Briggs of Azle, Texas. Dancin N The Dirt won the world champion title in senior working hunter, reserve world champion titles in senior hunter hack and senior pleasure driving, and placed 10th in performance halter geldings.

Dancin N The Dirt and his connections received a trailer, courtesy of Sundowner Trailers, an original Lisa Perry bronze and rose bouquet.

The 2020 Reserve Farnam Superhorse is Strutin To The Blues, owned by Rodger Call  of Fort Worth, Texas. The 2016 gray gelding, by Strutin On The Range and out of Dance To The Blues, was bred by Olivia Hoecker of Reddick, Florida. Strutin To The Blues earned 28 points, and was shown by AQHA Professional Horseman Chuck Briggs of Azle, Texas; and Brian Holmes of Purcell, Oklahoma. Strutin To The Blues earned the reserve world champion titles in junior hunter hack and junior pleasure driving, placed fourth in junior working hunter and eighth in aged geldings.

The reserve Farnam Superhorse receives a prize package that includes $10,000.

Placing third is Heza Blazin Trouble, owned by Bonnie Sheren, of Studio City, California. The 2015 sorrel gelding, by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Troubles A Blazin, was bred by Stanley and Susan Scott of Ocala, Florida. Heza Blazin Trouble earned a total of 27 points and was shown by AQHA Professional Horsewoman Sara Simons of Aubrey, Texas; and Andrea Simons of Aubrey, Texas. Heza Blazin Trouble won the reserve champion title in performance halter geldings, placed third in junior western riding and seventh in junior trail.

Placing fourth is Florida Georgia Line, owned by Ruth Rowe of Elizabeth, Colorado. The 2015 bay stallion, by VS Flatline and out of Whatscookngoodlookin, was bred by Capital Quarter Horses LLC of Pilot Point, Texas. Florida Georgia Line earned 26 points and was shown by AQHA Professional Horseman Chad Evans of Elizabeth, Colorado, and Katie Mitchell of Aubrey, Texas. Florida Georgia Line won the world champion title in junior trail, placed seventh in performance halter stallions and eighth in junior western riding.

Placing fifth is Heza Radical Zip, owned by Bonnie Sheren of Studio City, California. The 2005 bay gelding, by Radical Rodder and out of Sonnys Last Zip, was bred by Olivia Hoecker of Reddick, Florida. Heza Radical Zip earned 26 points and was shown by AQHA Professional Horseman Jason Martin of Pilot Point, Texas; AQHA Professional Horsewoman Ashley Dunbar-Clock of Pilot Point, Texas; and Ashley Bailey of Sanger, Texas. Heza Radical Zip won the world champion title in senior western riding, seventh in senior trail and was a finalist in performance halter geldings.

The third- through fifth-place Farnam Superhorses each receive $2,500.

The Farnam AQHA World is the premier event in the equine industry and held in accordance with local, state and federal coronavirus mandates. The facility was not open to the general public during the show; however, exhibitors, trainers and their connections could still attend. The show featured three weeks of exciting competition, educational opportunities and a bountiful trade show.
