The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its January Riders of the Month on Wednesday, February 7th.
The TCU Horned Frogs take home three accolades following an 11-8 win against the Texas A&M Aggies. Carley Barnett, Senior from Pilot Point, Texas, takes home the Equifit Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month after earning MOP honors against her opponent and winning her point by a margin of 10. Laska Anderson, Sophomore from Leitchfield, Kentucky, is awarded the Shorty’s Horsemanship Rider of the Month after earning MOP honors and helping the Horned Frogs go 4-1 over the Aggies in Horsemanship. Carly Lombard, Sophomore from Loveland, Colorado, rounds up TCU’s awards with the Shorty’s Reining Rider of the Month upon earning MOP honors.
The Equifit Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month goes to Texas A&M Senior hunt seat rider from Chester, New Jersey, Alex Desiderio. Alex won MOP honors against the Horned Frogs.
