Congratulations 2015 Appaloosa Youth Year-End, Non-Pro, and Lifetime Award Winners!

The Appaloosa Horse Club is pleased to announce the 2015 Youth Year-End Award winners, Year-End Non-Pro Award winners, and Lifetime Horse Award winners.
Each year, awards are calculated for both Youth Superior Achievement Champions and Youth Versatility Champions. The Youth Superior Achievement Champion is a lifetime award that’s presented to youth who have accumulated 350 points under at least five different judges. A minimum of 105 points must be earned at Showmanship at Halter, a minimum of 140 points must be earned in Performance classes (with at least 35 points in three of four performance subcategories) and the remaining 105 points may be earned in elective youth classes.

The Youth Versatility Champion Award is an annual award given to the youth who earns the most points with one horse in youth events. It’s presented in four age categories and calculated on a one horse-one youth basis.
2015 Youth Versatility Champions

The Non-Pro Supreme Champion is a lifetime award that is presented to any Non-Pro who has accumulated 250 points. Points must have been earned in both Western and English Classes, with no less than 75 points in each group of classes. In addition, and including the 75 point Western and English class minimums, the individual must have earned at least 25 points in Showmanship at Halter, 100 points in Equitation and 50 points in working events. The remaining 75 points may be earned in any non-pro events.

Non-Pro Superior Champion is an annual award that is presented to the Non-Pro who has accumulated the most points during the year in all classes. Points must have been earned in both Western and English Classes; points must have been earned in at least five difference classes, including at least one working event; a minimum of 20 points must have been earned in equitation classes.

2015 Non-Pro Superior Champion: Destiny Zeiders of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania
The Non-Pro Versatility Champion Award is an annual award given to the Non-Pro in each division who earns the most points with one horse in non-pro events. It is calculated on a one horse-one/one-rider basis.
2015 Non-Pro Versatility Champions:

- 35 and Over- Dr. Ted Zajac III with NO YOU DIDNT of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania
- Masters- Sandra L. Truntz with ZIPPOS COWBOY of Cedarburg, Wisconsin
The Youth Supreme Champion Horse Lifetime Award is presented when a horse has earned at least 100 points, with at least 30 points earned in halter classes and at least 70 points earned in performance classes. No more than 10 points can be from one performance class, and the horse must have at least one Register of Merit (ROM) in three separate categories.
2015 Youth Supreme Champion Horse:
- MEMPHIS SENSATION owned by Dawson Simpson
- MIGHTY INTIMIDATING owned by Deborah Letham and Danielle Feller
The ApHC Supreme Champion Horse is awarded when a horse has earned at least 100 points, with at least 40 points earned in halter classes and at least 60 points earned in performance classes. No more than 10 points can be from one performance class and the horse must have at least one ROM in four of the five categories of performance classes.
2015 Open Supreme Champion Horse: COWBOY PARADISE owned by Jenni Bradley
Production plaques are earned by horses registered with the ApHC providing the owner is an active member of the ApHC during the qualifying year. If a stallion sires 12 different bronze medallion winners, a bronze production plaque will be issued. If a stallion sires 24 different horses that win bronze medallions, a bronze Superior Sire Production Plaque will be issued. If a stallion sires 40 different horses that win bronze medallions, the stallion will be issued a bronze Supreme Sire Production Plaque, will be issued, and will be inducted into the Appaloosa Hall of Fame. If a mare produces three different bronze medallion winners, a bronze production plaque will be issued.
If a mare produces four different bronze medallion winners, the mare will be issued a bronze Superior Dam Production Plaque. If a mare produces five different bronze medallion winners, the mare will be issued a bronze Supreme Dam Production Plaque and will be inducted into the Appaloosa Hall of Fame.
