Thanks to hard work from show management, we now have results to share from the 2018 Martinganza Quarter Horse Show and Futurity that took place April 5-8 in Williamston, North Carolina. Judges for the show were Sissy Anderson, GiGi Bailey, Cynthia Rucker, Tim Finkenbinder, Robert Johnson, Tom Robertson, Jan Hoskin-Hay, Jim Isley, and Laura Norment.
Despite several other large circuits taking place at the same time, in Georgia and Ohio, the Martinganza held its own producing an impressive entry count of 5,688 for the four-day event.

The show kicked off with the traditional Equine Chronicle Exhibitors’ Party complete with a mechanical bull and DJ. Click here to watch a video of all the festivities.
The High Point Champions for the show were as follows. The Open Senior Horse Champion was Sassy Sister, shown by Roy Houser. The Amateur Champion was Invited To A Goodbar with Shannon Thrower. The Select Champion was Lynn Agee with OHK Twisted Spoke. The 14-18 Champion was Taylor Leone with Sleeping In On Sunday.
Winning the Novice Amateur title was Leah Roehl with Aldowhatyoulove. The Novice Youth Champion was Khylee Lynn Maglione with Certain To Be Good. The Small Fry winner was Quincy Katherine Clagg.
The Overall Ranch Horse Pleasure High Point Horse and winner of a pair of stirrups, donated by Debbie Williams, was Grace Wilson with Bueno Summer Starlet. The winner of a pair of custom chaps, donated by Jean’s Custom Show Fashions, was Samantha Johnson.
