“Dr. Teddy” received an honorary degree from UC Davis for being a “Master Equine Educator” for the students, having helped them learn equine health at more than two dozen appointments and a lengthy stay at the school’s teaching hospital over the past year.

Perhaps the ominous clouds that drenched race enthusiasts and created a sloppy, mud-laden track should’ve served as a warning for the sadness that was about to come, in more ways than one…

We would like to congratulate our friend Highpoint horse trainer, Beth Case, and her husband Kevin on the birth of their baby boy! Cody Justin Case was born May 20th, 2016 weighing 7 lbs 6 ounces.

American Humane Association’s legendary animal rescue program was born on the battlefields of World War I Europe in 1916 when the U.S. Secretary of War asked the organization to save war horses. During that terrible time, they rescued and cared for 68,000 wounded horses a month and since the Great War they have been part of virtually every major disaster response from Pearl Harbor to 9/11; Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina; the Mount St. Helens eruption; the Joplin, Missouri tornado; the Japanese and Haitian earthquakes; and Superstorm Sandy. Over just the past ten years, American Humane Association has saved, helped and sheltered more than 80,000 animals.

High school graduates pledged to continue their academic education in Texas as they each received an $18,000 scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at the Area Go Texan Scholarship Banquet, Friday, May 20.

We would like to congratulate AQHA horse trainer Cody Copeland and his wife Melissa on the birth of their baby girl, Nella Veronica Copeland. Nella was born May 9th, 2016 at 10:30 am.

Our good friend, Tim “The Trail Man” Kimura, took a trip across the pond to the United Kingdom and he brought his favorite reading material along for the trip! Kimura is in the United Kingdom visiting his friends and colleagues, David and Sarah Deptford of Sovereign Quarter Horses.
