For the past three years, Babs has been battling stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. Coming up tomorrow, she will be undergoing a major surgery to remove a cancerous area followed by chemotherapy.

Raising the statutory threshold will reduce the number of farms and family businesses subject to the tax. It will also spare many family-run businesses from jumping over accounting hurdles to avoid the tax altogether.
