Continue reading …During the pre-game festivities, each team brought out their respective mascots, the Georgia Bulldog’s “Uga X,” a white bulldog, and the Texas Longhorn’s steer, “Bevo XV.” The two were supposed to meet for a pre-game photo opportunity; however, Bevo got a bit rambunctious with his handlers and broke through the barrier that separated him from the press.
Continue reading …On January 2nd, Monte was in a terrible accident with a horse. He was airlifted from the farm to Mayo Hospital in Rochester. His initial surgery was 12 hours to stop the internal bleeding. He has since gone through four additional surgeries to fix a broken femur in his right leg and to repair his intestines. He will be at St Mary’s for two to three more weeks. Due to the severity of his injuries, myself and his family have held off making this public.

I broke three ribs and had pneumothorax, which is where air collects outside of the lungs. I had to take an ambulance ride, which I don’t remember, and I had a slight concussion. They kept me overnight, and I’m really lucky that the air outside of my lungs resolved itself.”
