Sanctioned by AQHA and sponsored by SmartPak, a trail challenge is a course of 6 to 16 obstacles that tests a horse’s and rider’s ability to work as a team and navigate through natural obstacles they might experience on a trail. Open to registered Quarter Horses as well as other breeds, over 200 horse and rider combinations competed in four events for prizes in Training, Intermediate and Master Levels.

The Stars and Stripes and Big A horse shows will present nine judges over a ten day period for a new flat fee of $595. This price includes all AQHA entries, trail warm ups, over fence warm ups, and office fees. Stalls for the show will be $300 and include both circuits.

If you haven’t seen already, there are plenty of incredible prizes that will be awarded to some very lucky winners. Six bridles will be presented to the High Point winners of english divisions. Since the show ends on New Year’s Eve, the C Bar C arena is encouraging everyone to ring in the New Year with them. Instead of driving home that night, beginning at 10 pm there will be music and appetizers offered.
