Scott Reinartz and Investin A Goodbar showed their excitement this evening after winning their first World Championship title in Amateur Trail with an enthusiastic victory lap! Scott and 9-year-old “Hank” have been a team for five years, and they’ve accumulated numerous titles, but this is their first win.

This evening’s Amateur Showmanship finals was all about the boys with two, talented gentlemen taking the top two spots in the class. The returning champion from 2017, Tony Anderman, led his 14-year-old gelding, Solo Invested, to win the class once again this year. 

Tom Robertson led Baby I’m Worth It to win 3-Year-Old Mares and her eighth World title for Warren English and family. This year, “Penny” claimed a clean sweep by winning Open 3-Year-Old Mares with Tom Robertson and Amateur with Corrine English at the Congress, at the Select World Show with Laurie English, and here at the World Show in Amateur with Warren and Open with Tom. 

“The last time I was in Horsemanship finals here, we had an extended trot down the middle, and we loped off. That was a thought in my mind in this pattern. He’s such a pretty trotter, so I knew it could be great.”

“Do you know how everybody has that one horse that makes you love this sport and horses in general? Willy is that horse.”

“He’s just a puppy dog to be around. You can pet on him, and he hangs his head down and wants to be loved on. I just don’t think you see that in many stallions.”

This evening’s Amateur Western Riding finals crowned Kirsten Thomsen with Elis A Sleepin as the World Champions. Kirsten and “Eli,” a black gelding by Too Sleepy To Zip and out of Vested Investment, scored a 233 to take the win.
