A recipe is more than just a few ingredients thrown together. A recipe represents memories with friends and family who gathered ’round to enjoy it. It’s the cookies you bring to a horse show to share with fellow competitors. It’s the branding meal cowboys look forward to after a long day’s work. It’s the unforgettable moments created sitting around a table, horse stall, arena, trailer or backyard. We’d love to see your recipes and hear your horse tales that accompany them.

Congratulations to the newly elected 2020-2021 AjPHA Executive Committee officers! This group of leaders will be responsible for overseeing AjPHA business, reporting the status of the association and helping govern and direct the course of AjPHA.

APHA is excited to announce plans to offer the inaugural Paint Alternative Competition World Championship E-Show in early September 2020, taking place just before the APHA World Championship Show. Entries will open August 22 and close on September 7 at 5 p.m. CST.

The National Day of the Cowboy is celebrated around the country, including Amarillo. This year, due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect the health and welfare of visitors and staff, the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo will be hosting the 10th annual event as a virtual celebration, brought to you by presenting sponsor Amarillo National Bank.

“We are honored to be able to offer scholarships for the upcoming school year. In 2019, the WCHA Foundation awarded nine scholarships to deserving youth with an interest in conformation horses,” explains Don Falcon, Executive Director of WCHA.

“In the coming year, there is a lot to be done while preserving the traditions that make us who we are as an organization and a breed,” said Wise. “As AQHA members, your love of the horse and love of the lifestyle can only be protected by your involvement at a local, state and national level. We need your experience, knowledge and passion to keep AQHA great.”

The following judge applicants were approved by the AQHA Judges Committee to take the 2020 judges qualifying exam. Based on test scores and additional criteria, the Judges Committee then approved a list of prospective new judges that were reviewed and approved by the AQHA Executive Committee.
