Changes, Updates, and Exciting Additions to BHF in 2021

The BHF Board of Directors also voted to change some horse eligibility rules. Beginning in 2021, only the 1st place horse from any BHF Class and only the World Champion from any AQHA Level 3 Amateur or Open Class are ineligible to compete in future BHF Halter Classes. If you have a horse that previously placed 2nd or 3rd and you would like to show again at the BHF, there is a “Catch-Up Nomination Form” for you to pay a $200 yearly nomination fee for every year the horse was ineligible. Then, you will pay a current 2021 nomination fee and your horse is eligible to show at the BHF.

“He was really on his target at this horse show. We were able to win the High Point Amateur Versatility Ranch Horse and the AQHA circuit. He was first place about thirty times. Winning isn’t everything, you know, but it’s pretty fun!”

Baird was elected to office in 2018, representing District 44. He had no intention of running for office until he was encouraged to do so after his father left the position to run for Congress. Although the job is daunting at times, he believes that it is especially gratifying.

Based on an extensive comparison of the qualifying data and discussions with AQHA alliance partner the National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance, AQHA Show Council, AQHA Affiliate Advisory Board and affiliates, the AQHA Executive Committee has waived the qualification requirements for the 2021 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships and AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, slated for June 22-27, 2021, at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. NRSHA also made the decision to waive qualifying requirements for the 2021 NRSHA National Championships, held in conjunction with the AQHA VRH World.
