According to Mark Harrell Horse Show management, more than 2,100 entries were recorded at the 2015 Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Futurity that took place over the weekend in Wilmington. The Futurity took place at the Roberts Arena, August 22-23, with judges Sara Beth Simons, Sharon Wellman, Kelly Stone, and Dale Hamilton officiating.
Competitors enjoyed a full range of added money classes including $5,000 in Ohio Futurity Bonus Incentive Fund classes, $1,000 in SOQHA added money classes, and $2,000 in NSBA futurities.

The main event was the $5,000 3 and Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure class that was restricted to intermediate, limited, or non-pro riders only. $5,000 was awarded to the winner, and the payout schedule was as follows: 2-$2,500, 3-$2,000, 4-$1,500, 5-1,000, 6-$500.
Winning an excellent class of ten entries was Brent Garringer with Easy N The Moonlight for owner Patricia Fogleman. Easy N The Moonlight is by Only In The Moonlight and out of Hotrod Be Easy. The Reserve Champion was Ross Wetherell aboard Perfect 10, by RL Best of Sudden and out of Im Talkin Sweet, for owner Bryan Reger. Shannon Simmons rode Some Kinda Radical to third place for Stanley and Susan Scott.
Dennis Taylor rode Lazy In Stilettos to place fourth. Doug Rath rode Won Sweet Loper to place fifth for Trisha Zinkhann. James Smiley and Lazy As Zin placed sixth. Trevor Barnes and Quiet Ride came in seventh. Clint Collingsworth rode Theycallmemrgoodtime to an eighth place finish for Big Rock Farms, LLC. Lori Gingrich and Sure Enough Lazy placed ninth. Katsy Leeman and A Certain Cowgirl placed tenth.
