Blind Horsemanship Challenge at MQHA Maple Leaf Show

Filed under: Club & Show News,Club and Show News |

Who thinks they could take on this challenge? The Missouri Quarter Horse Youth Association will be hosting a fundraiser at the upcoming MQHA Maple Leaf Show. The fundraiser will consist of a Blind Horsemanship Challenge! The event will take place on Friday, March 26th before regular Horsemanship classes.

The class is open to all age of non-pro riders. The entry fee is $40 per horse, and there is no limit to the number of entries. During the class, all exhibitors will face the wall and aren’t allowed to watch other competitors compete their patterns. Each competitor will be allowed 60 seconds to look at the pattern. Then, each competitor must turn around and complete the pattern. Rail work will take place following the pattern work. Cash prizes include $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place.

The horse show will take place March 25-28 in Lake St. Louis at the National Equestrian Center. Judges will be Ryan Kail, Will Knabenshue, Buddy Fisher, and Bruce Walquist.
