The Baker Family of Bandera, Texas, recently donated an additional $100,000 to the American Paint Horse Foundation’s Capital Campaign, bringing their total donations to $300,000 since 2014. The donations are made in memory of Rebecca Sue Harrison Baker, courtesy of her husband Jerry and children.
The Baker family has previously made significant donations to the foundation’s Youth World Show Scholarship Endowment; they currently sponsor seven Youth World Show classes.
In recognition of their generosity, a portion of APHA’s new headquarters in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards will be named in Rebecca’s honor. It will house the APHF Hall of Fame and Educational Outreach Center. It’s a fitting testament to Rebecca’s love of Paint Horses; before her death in 2010, Rebecca was a passionate APHA member and enjoyed breeding, riding and showing Paint Horses.
