Get ready for Back to Berrien for 2024!

June 19-22, 2024 – Berrien Springs, MI

Single Judge AQHA Special Event & NSBA Futurity

Judges: Tom Robertson (SE), Murray Griggs, Steve Meadows, Nancy Sue Ryan, Jeffrey Pait, Jeff Mellot and Keith Miller

In 2022, the beloved Berrien County Fairgrounds was once again the site of an AQHA Specialty Show and an NSBA Futurity, thanks to the inventiveness of Gil Galyean, Jon Barry, and Charles Cannizzaro.  Berrien County Fairgrounds was former site for the Tom Powers Futurity before it was moved in 2020, making it a special and nostalgic place for many.

“For over 30 years, some of the most memorable exhibitions of pleasure horses were held at the iconic Berrien Springs Fairgrounds,” says Gil Galyean. “With the return of qualifying requirements for World Championship shows, we thought it would be a great service to those chasing points to provide this new opportunity.”

The show was welcomed with open arms by exhibitors, and it’s back again in 2024 with over $70,000 added and much more.

The big news everyone is buzzing about – The Trailer Challenge!

The show is giving away a trailer for free – no tickets, no money required – just the requirement of fun!

Trailer Challenge 𝙍𝙐𝙇𝙀𝙎:
1.) 1 Horse – 1 Rider
2.) 50% Bridleless Western Pleasure/50% Barrel Race
3.) 𝙉𝙊 𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙍𝙔 𝙁𝙀𝙀… WINNER GOES HOME WITH THE TRAILER
4.) Any Age Horse

This trailer is a one horse in-line gooseneck built by the famous McQuerry Trailer Company in Fort Worth, TX. This is 1 of 2 EVER BUILT!  Class will be held Saturday afternoon – June 22nd.

Once again, Back To Berrien will also offer the “DAC” class for horses that have not won over $2500 as of June 1st! Entries are open now for this Novice Horse Open Western Pleasure class with $10k added.

In addition, each class winner will receive a customized Back To Berrien pocketknife!

And they’re still not done – the  Highest Money Earning OPEN Rider is going to home with a custom Jeff Habighorst saddle at Back To Berrien! “Huge shout out to Jeff for helping us customize this saddle exactly how we wanted it- your craftsmanship is one of a kind!”
