The finals of the Adequan National Championship Select Showmanship at the Arizona Sun Circuit were held on Tuesday evening just as the Johns Family NSBA party was getting started ringside at The Equine Chronicle Arena. After three days of Showmanship elimination rounds and a lot of great pattern work, four finalists remained. Each of the finalists had come into Sun Circuit in the top 10 of the National Championship year-end rankings. Ranked second nationally, Scott Reinartz was paired with the eighth ranked Sharon Forbes-Hanks for the first match up. Scott presented an exceptional pattern and received a cumulative score of 284. Sharon posted a 269, sending Scott to the finals. Joe Whitt, who came into the competition ranked sixth, exhibited against the third ranked Anne Wilson. Both had pretty and crisp patterns, but Joe edged out Anne and advanced. Exhibitors had a quick break and then presented the same pattern once again.
