APHA is accepting national director nominations from regional clubs and individuals through August 15—any APHA member in good standing can be nominated as a national director. If elected, national directors serve a three-year term (2020–2022) and are asked to vote on rule change proposals and other matters of importance to the association in the best interest of their representative area.

Continue reading …For the first time, The Buckeye Horse Show has been split apart into two events- The Little Buckeye and The BWHA Classic. For many years, The Buckeye was the combination of the Little Buckeye and Buckeye Classic, by way of a partnership between the BWHA (Buckeye Western Horse Association) and OAQHA (Ohio Amateur Quarter Horse Association). This year, the clubs made the joint decision to hold two separate shows to allow the associations to better focus on their individual goals for the events.

Wayne was a highly respected AQHA and APHA judge for over 30 years, giving him the opportunity to travel the world. Continue reading …Scarlet Print was a 1990 chestnut overo mare by Silent Print and out of Oakes Shady Lady who earned 1,334 lifetime APHA points in halter classes. Owned by Michelle Engle of Bakersfield, California, Scarlet Print had an impressive accolade of awards, including four Registers of Merit, three Superiors Events and 10 world championship titles—all in halter classes. She was a dam to nine horses that have collected a total of 746 points in halter classes.
