Continue reading …Beginning in 2021, AQHA shows will be able to offer additional age divisions in ranch riding: For horses 3 years of age and older, the class can be offered as Level 1, junior, senior or an all-age open-division class. For youth and amateur exhibitors, options include an all-age class for Level 1 youth, youth, 13-&-Under and 14-18 youth, Level 1 amateur, Level 1 Select amateur, Select amateur and amateur. The rule change is designed to enhance the showing experience by providing more opportunities for exhibitors in this ever-popular class.
Continue reading …During the World Show, Youth can also participate in a Coloring Contest September 18– October 2 at noon. Contest divisions are 7 & Under, 8–13 and 14–18; coloring sheets will be located in the Richard Bass Building by the Youth study room. Entries must be posted on the bulletin board by the Youth study room (including the artist’s information filled out on the back). If you can’t attend the 2020 APHA World Show, join in on the fun by participating in the coloring contest on APHA’s Facebook page. Winners for each division will be posted on APHA’s Facebook and will receive a $25 PH Barn Door gift card. Check out our Facebook event page for more details.

Continue reading …The WQHA State Show and Cheesehead Classic were held in Elkhorn, WI at the Walworth County Fairgrounds August 27th – 30th. Normally, the WQHA State Show is a six judge event held over Labor Day weekend, but the show was restructured to a four judge event and moved to a facility with open-air stalling and covered arena to accommodate health restrictions. The show was managed by TNT Events.
