The Arizona Paint Horse Club Copper Country Paint O Ramas are an Arizona tradition for American Paint Horses, first held for over 30 years in Tucson, and moved to WestWorld of Scottsdale in 2014.
The first 4-judge POR happens the last three days of December, and it enables club members to wrap up their year end points and those running for national APHA points to put the finish on their totals. The second 4-judge POR kicks off a new year in January, and all the horses are one year older for that show as well.
This year, the Arizona Paint Horse Club outdid itself with fun in between fantastic competition, with hula hoop challenges, a Mystery Trail Class, a Paint and Sip activity, a Blindfold Tack Challenge, an annual costume contest, a dog race, and much more!
In addition, exhibitors were able to take advantage of not only APHA classes, but also NSBA futurities (results below), West Coast Breeders’ Futurity classes, and all breed classes, too.
