Around the Ring Photos and Results- OPHC Buckeye Extravaganza

While others were enjoying Derby Day festivities, the Ohio Paint Horse Club hosted the Buckeye Extravaganza, May 3-5 in Springfield, Ohio with Marty Jo Hays, Lori Gordon, Sandy Curl, and Bill Mitchell officiating.

A special event at the show this year was the Lucky 7 Open Breed Sweepstakes, which included $1,000 in added money and an entry fee of $150 per class.

• $1,000 Added Lucky 7 Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle (Lucky drawing for BooYah gift certificate donated by BooYah Custom Show Clothing)
• $1,000 Added Lucky 7 Non Pro Western Pleasure (Lucky drawing for oversized show pad donated by Glitzy Apparel)
• $1,000 added Lucky 7 Open Trail (Lucky drawing for custom tail gift certificate from Kathy’s Tails)

The winner of the Lucky 7 Non Pro Showmanship was Becky Anderson with A Sudden Billionaire. Second place was Megan McClain with Im Saintsational. Third was Margaret Applegarth with Sharp Dressed Zippo. Fourth was Deborah Casaubon with One Good Cuervo. Fifth was Isabella Applegarth with Get The Sensation.

The winner of the Lucky 7 Non Pro Western Pleasure was Tim Snapp with Scenery. Second was Kayla Bowshier with Obligated Invite. Third was Hannah Truex with Miss Mesmerized. The winner of the Lucky 7 Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle was Cindy Snapp with More Tools. Second was Jennifer Heuker with Huntin For Gifts.

The winner of the Lucky 7 Open Trail was Wade Parks with One Good Cuervo. Second was Wade with Pour Me A Cuervo. Third was Wade with VR Knockyour Socksoff. Fourth was Isabella Applegarth with Get The Sensation. Fifth was Margaret Applegarth with Sharp Dressed Zippo.

The next upcoming shows for OPHC are the June 1-2 two-day show, sponsored by the Ohio PHC Amateur Club; the July 13-14, 2-day show, sponsored by the Ohio and Michigan Paint Horse Scholarship Show; and the September 2nd OPHC Holiday Special.
