The Lucky Seven Classic was a hit again this year! The Tennessee Quarter Horse Association hosted the show known for its fun and competition May 4-8, 2022, at TN Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Hospitality is one of the standards for the show, and that included doughnuts in the morning, Mother’s Day treats, and a Derby Party for the everyone on Saturday!
“Class numbers have been strong, particularly in the Trail, Performance Halter, and Ranch,” said Announcer Corinne Gould, “and during this streak of unpredictable horse show weather, it only hailed once!”
Casey Devitt was scheduled to manage the event, but this year, Christian Jauntig of Topline Event Management served as the show manager, stepping up to the task when the news of the unexpected passing of Devitt’s son, Cody Devitt, reached the horse community.
Jauntig donated his time with show management pay going to the Devitt family. “I knew they would have a lot of unexpected expenses to face,” Jauntig explains. “I would just like to tell April and Casey that I think I speak for everyone in the industry when I say we are thinking of them and hope to see them soon.”
