The 2015 Arizona Fall Championship kicks off today at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona and will continue through October 11th. In addition to enjoying considerably cooler weather against the stunning backdrop of the McDowell Mountains, competitors will have many opportunities to accumulate points and prizes in Level 1, 2, and 3 classes in amateur, select, and youth divisions. To top it all off, a new cost effective fee structure with either an all show option of $400 or pay per entry option will help competitors save big bucks.
Judging the event are Mike Hay, Rick Christy, John Briggs, Larry Little (NRHA), Gayle Lampinen, Linda Danielson, Pete Mcallister (NRHA), Cynthia Rucker, Jim Dudley (NRHA), Karen Mccuistion, Joe Hays (NRHA), Larry Kasten (NRHA), Jimmy Stickler, and Bill Enk.
The class lineup for this event is almost too long to list including Cutting, Cow Horse, Roping, Boxing Spectacular, Bridle Spectacular, Best of the West Reining, Trail Futurity, USTPC Trail Challenge, Ranch Riding Bonanza, Ranch Trail, and so much more. And that’s not to mention the incredible prizes… custom slate base trophies, Rod Patrick Caiman Boots, 20X Atwood Hat, shirts and jeans from Cinch, Professional’s Choice Bob Avila bits and spurs, full page ads in The Equine Chronicle, Shorty’s Caboy Hattery hats, trophy saddles, and random giveaways.
We’re particularly excited about The Equine Chronicle Ranch Riding Bonanza, which is new this year! We’ve received a sneak peak of the obstacle list for Ranch Trail and there are some exciting things planned such as backing through hay bales, walking through a pen of cattle, walking through a willow curtain, donning a rain slicker, carrying a bucket, throwing a rope, dragging a log, picking up mail, and loping around a tepee!
The champions in The Equine Chronicle Open, Amateur and Youth Ranch Trail (Non AQHA) will each receive a free full-page ad in The Equine Chronicle. Also, The Equine Chronicle and Shorty’s Caboy Hattery are sponsoring one men’s and one women’s hat, worth over $900 each, to lucky exhibitors who enter both the Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail classes. Back numbers will be drawn randomly for the prizes.
The Ranch Riding fun doesn’t stop there. Free clinics will be offered by Laurel Walker Denton and Debbie Cooper.
