AQHYA Members to Host Toiletry Drive at Youth World Show

The American Quarter Horse Youth Association Executive Committee and regional directors are excited to partner with a women’s shelter, the YWCA Oklahoma City, to host a toiletry drive during the 2021 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show July 28 – August 8 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
The collection area and donation bins will be located outside of the AQHA show office at the Ford Youth World.
If you’re attending the Ford Youth World, please bring the following items to donate:
Full or sample size:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Body Wash
- Bar Soap
- Deodorant
- Lotion
- Toothpaste/toothbrush, dental floss
- Brushes and combs
- Hand sanitizer
- Disposable wipes
- Adult flip flops
- Diapers or pull-ups
Exhibitors and parents may also donate money via cash, check or an online donation.
- If donating cash or a check, please submit the donation to show office staff. Please make checks out to YWCA Oklahoma City and write AQHA in the memo.
- You can also donate online.
- Donations can also be purchased through Amazon Wishlist and will be sent directly to the shelter.
The toiletry drive will serve as a contest among AQHYA regions to see which region can donate the largest amount of items during the show. To get credit for your region, you must log your donation information in the donation folder in the show office. Please include your region and number of items donated.

The Ford Youth World, which is July 28 – August 8 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, is the premier event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors ages 18 and under in the equine industry.
