Whew! The first show day of the Built Ford Tough AQHA Youth World was a busy one! Paulina Martz with Onlythebestchocolate kicked of the show with their win the Performance Mares. This is the fourth time they’ve won the class!

I showed my horse, Lazy Illusion, in the Performance Geldings, and, man, let me tell you, it was a sure enough a marathon! We showed for a little over two hours! Cooper Dobbs and Mytesly were once again your World Champions in Performance Halter Geldings. Caroline Fromm and her horse, PF Chrome Rimz, got the golden globe in the Aged Geldings at their first Youth World together.

Since I don’t show the Western Riding, I spent most of my day busy preparing for the Level 3 Western Pleasure prelims on Monday. All the exhibitors are in show mode and working hard to perfect their patterns. The day ended with the Ride the Pattern Horsemanship clinic, hosted by AQHA Professional Horseman Brent Tincher and the Ride the Pattern Showmanship clinic presented by AQHA Professional Horsewoman Jackie Krshka.

Stay tuned for more later this week!
