AQHA Member Shows RIDE ALERT Isn’t Just for When You’re on a Horse…

We received a communication from one of our Registered members recently, essentially thanking us for providing the 24/7 Ride Alert service.
It’s always nice to receive positive feedback from our members, but in this instance the message we got from Sherri Hines, a member of the AQHA, had us pleased that we (Ride Alert) were able to help her as we should. It was a perfect example of how Ride Alert is of use to us all every hour of every day! Sherri kindly gave us permission to pass on her comments, and here is what she had to say:
“Thank you to the AQHA and Ride Alert ID – yesterday I had a diabetic emergency at work and a co-worker found my bracelet in my purse and gave to the EMS. I have significant medication allergies and the paramedic was able to get my medical information quickly when I could not give it. I took advantage of the free one-year registration from AQHA*, never thinking I would have to use it. Thank you for offering this service! “

What’s really great about this comment, is that Sherri shows how even when you are not on your horse, you can still find yourself in an emergency (imagine a car accident for example), and that is when you are going to need someone to be on the other end of the phone to relay important information and get in touch with family or friends to advise what has happened to you and where you are. Our ID devices are easy to wear (so much so that you can often forget you even have them on), and as long as the information on your account in the database is up to date, then you will be covered. Not just you, but the whole family too, since one Ride Alert registration covers all – including pets!
Organizations can take advantage of the Service as many of our current Partners have (see http://ridealert.us/partners.html for more), by offering it to their own members – not only helping to protect them, but also assisting the organization itself with due diligence, etc. Much better to organize an event, knowing that you have all the necessary information to hand on the end of a phone, should something untoward happen to one or more of your people on the day!

Sherri’s example above has reinforced our belief that you don’t have to be an equestrian to take advantage of our 24/7 service. We believe in our product and what we do so much, that we have decided to expand it out to the rest of the community across the USA, and later into Canada. As such we are happy to announce that we will be launching the purely non-equestrian side of the business (called iAlertID) in the New Year, starting with an initial Crowd Funding campaign in January 2015, which everyone can help support!
