AQHA L1 Championship East in Ohio is Still Going Forward

On March 13, the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio, has suspended competition at the Ohio facility amid concerns of coronavirus (COVID-19). The facility will remain closed for the next week and will operate on a week-by-week basis, as the coronavirus pandemic evolves.

The 2020 Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships are slated for April 29 – May 3 at the World Equestrian Center.

“AQHA is working closely with facility management, and our top priority remains the safety of our exhibitors, their American Quarter Horses and AQHA staff, in addition to the local community,” said Justin Billings, chief show officer. “The World Equestrian Center management expects the facility to reopen well before our event, which means the suspension would not affect the Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships. In the event of the show not moving forward, AQHA would notify exhibitors as soon as that decision was made and refund exhibitor show fees.”

AQHA will continue to work with the facility management and respects decisions made by local authorities as the situation evolves. The Association will be in direct contact with Level 1 exhibitors if any changes are made and as more information becomes available. Information will also be posted on www.aqha.com/level1championships.
