Checks for AQHA Incentive Fund for points earned in 2013 are in the process of being printed and mailed.
The value of a 2013 Incentive Fund point is
2013 Nominator Point Value: $16.56
2013 License Point Value: $19.62
The nominator point value is for stallion and foal nominators, while the license point value is for owners of enrolled horses who had filed a competition license in 2013.
For 2012, the nominator point value was $16.59 and the license point value was $18.53.
One hundred percent of license fees is paid back to owners who filed a competition license. Stallion nominators and foal enrollers continue to receive their portion regardless of whether the license fees were paid.
“The Incentive Fund has paid back a remarkable $73.2 million since its inception to nominators and owners of American Quarter Horses,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. “What makes the program attractive is that an enrolled horse has the ability to put money back in the pockets of nominators and owners.”
To receive payout for points earned in 2014, horse owners are encouraged to file competition licenses for their Incentive Fund-enrolled horses. Competition licenses should be filed prior to earning points because points earned before the annual license is filed will not be eligible for payout. A separate license must be filed for both amateur and open divisions.
Foal owners should take note that this is a great time of the year to enroll their foals by Incentive Fund-nominated sires to the program.
Forms for competition licenses, plus foal and stallion nominations are available at www.aqha.com/incentivefund. AQHA customer service representatives are also waiting at 806-376-4811 to assist horse owners.
