ApHC

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is pleased to announce the hiring of our new Executive Secretary, Kristopher Byrd.  Kristopher started his career in the military. He brings leadership to the table with over a decade in the nuclear power industry; his focus – operations and processes.  With Kristopher’s help, the office will refocus its operations and streamline processes for our membership.

Kristopher is an accomplished horseman with National and World titles.  He is dedicated to the Appaloosa breed, to the growth of our club, and to bringing financial stability.  President Lori Wunderlich states she feels confident the Board of Directors of the Appaloosa Horse Club has made the correct decision in hiring Kristopher, as he brings young and new ideas, and growth and development for the change needed to move the ApHC forward.

From Kristopher:

I am excited to have the opportunity to take the reins as the Executive Secretary of the Appaloosa Horse Club.  It will be an honor to work with our members, board, and staff to help shape the future of this great organization.  It is an incredible time to be part of the Appaloosa industry, with so many opportunities to shine, from horse shows like our upcoming National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to TV shows like 1883 where you could spot some Appaloosas, to meaningful youth programs that build lifelong friendships can can lead to our youth becoming college athletes, to breeding programs where folks breed and raise horses that go on to ride the Chief Joseph Trail Ride, win races from Remington Park to Retama, and earn World Championships.  There truly is a place and horse for every kind of horse enthusiast here.

I look forward to attending events and speaking with you, the members – hearing your ideas on how we can improve, make our community stronger together, and build a sustainable and bright future that honors the wealth of history our organization represents.
