APHA World Show Added-Money Classes Swell by 38% in 2022

Money talks, and huge purses helped the 2022 APHA World Championship Show see a 38 percent increase in added-money competition.
Details:
Figures include challenge/sweepstakes payouts as well as Texas-bred, tobiano incentive, jackpots and all-breed payouts
- Reining – $132,084 paid out
- Notable: 44% increase in reining entries
- Ranch – $176,975 paid out
- Notable: 50% increase in APHA ranch entries (not including all-breed events)
- Barrel Racing/Pole Bending – $56,770 paid out
- Cutting – $39,207 paid out
- Working Cow Horse – $31,560 paid out
- Roping – $18,430 paid out
- Mounted Shooting – $11,431 paid out
- Western Pleasure/Hunter Under Saddle/Trail/Longe Line/Equitation/Horsemanship/Showmanship – $246,971 paid out
The 2022 APHA World Show took place June 24-July 10 in Fort Worth, Texas.
