The American Paint Horse Foundation will give Paint Horse enthusiasts an opportunity to Pave A Paint Pathway to help create a home to honor APHA Hall of Fame inductees. Members can purchase engraved bricks for permanent display at the APHA headquarters in Fort Worth. The Hall of Fame portion of the headquarters will eventually house artifacts, exhibits and memorabilia and recognize people and horses that have been instrumental in the progress and success of the Paint Horse Breed.

“It’s important to remember and preserve our past,” said executive director Billy Smith, who said the long-range project could take 3-5 years to fully fund and the Pave A Paint Pathway is the first step. “The beauty of the Pave a Paint Pathway program is that members will see its effects almost immediately as we lay these commemorative and memorial bricks in a very public setting.”

The first brick purchases will line the steps of the APHA entrance.

Each $250 brick is 4″ x 4″ and can have a maximum of two lines with up to 19 characters per line. Because the number of bricks in this area is limited, they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, with orders closing on June 1, 2014 or when sold out. For an additional $100, brick purchasers can receive a second brick for their personal use.

Visit the Hall of Fame section of the APHF website to order: APHF Bricks. The submitted form will be sent automatically to Foundation Coordinator Jan Anderson, who will hold the orders until all the bricks have been sold. For more information, you can contact Jan Anderson at 817/222-6414 or janderson@apha.com.

APHF President Linda Gordon stated that she hopes Paint Horse people will remember the Foundation and donate to this or one of the other fundraisers so that the scholarships and education missions can continue to grow and allow the Hall of Fame to become a reality.

The American Paint Horse Foundation (APHF) is a non-profit, charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The primary mission of the APHF is: Heritage and Education.1) To identify those people and horses whose contributions have significantly contributed to the success of the American Paint Horse Association and the horses registered with that Association. 2) To preserve the memories of those people, the historical events relative to the growth of the Association and the artifacts associated with them. 3) To Support the Higher Education of Paint Horse Youth.
