Anne Prince and PF Premo continued their winning ways this morning at the 2013 AQHA World Show by claiming a World Championship title in Amateur 2-Year-Old Stallions. Just last month, “Premo” was named the Amateur Grand Champion at the Quarter Horse Congress.
Prince and several other PF-bred prospects had an excellent day at the World Show.
“We had a colt that we bred and raised that was top five in the baby colt class [PF Credentials with J L Robinson],” Prince says. “Then, I showed our yearling colt, PF Kid Supreme, and he was third. Then, I just showed our 2-year-old colt, PF Premo, and he won. It’s been a very nice day for our farm.”
“I have to credit not only our breeding program for having horses that are good-minded and that can go on the road but also our training and fitting program. Dewey [Smith] is a master at keeping the horses in a routine and a very consistent environment. They seem to blossom wherever they are and continue to go forward.”
Prince is eagerly looking forward to 2014, because Premo will be heading home to Florida to stand at stud alongside their other stallion, Chromed Up.
“Premo will be standing at our farm in 2014,” she says. “His full brother’s babies are on the ground. That’s who PF Credentials is by, [PF Credibly Supreme] so that’s actual Premo’s nephew because that’s his full brother’s first colt. PF Credibly Supreme won the World here to, and he also stood Grand Champion at the Congress in the open.”
“We are very fortunate, because we have two Supremo sons. Chromed Up is N/N and this colt is N/H, so we have something to offer either set of mares to really give you a nice choice to continue with the Supremo bloodlines.”
