Are you ready to rock the APHA World Championship Show? Sign up for the second annual Amateur Boot Camp to put the icing on your perfect rides for your best show yet.
Offered for several years at the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, the inaugural Amateur Bootcamp was a hit among attendees in 2014. This year’s event, which takes place November 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. gives riders the chance to make last-minute improvements to their riding with the help of top industry professionals.
“The APHA World Show is your time to put your best foot—and hoof—forward, and we want to help you bring your best,” Director of Youth and Amateur Activities Christine Henry said. “Whether you’re a do-it-yourselfer or already employ professional help, the bootcamp offers an opportunity to practice your patterns and get additional advice to polish your pattern to perfection.”
Attendees will receive one-on-one time with professional trainers, opportunities to practice patterns in a World Show arena and a chance to settle in to the facilities before competition begins. Bootcamp work will focus on showmanship, Western horsemanship and hunt-seat equitation, with time to practice both pattern elements and essential skills. After the riding session, Boot Camp attendees are invited to stay for a hands-on banding and braiding clinic with professional bander Kate Shearer.
Boot Camp is $50 per rider and is limited to the first 25 Amateurs. Don’t miss out! Sign up today.
