The first two Horsemanship World Champions of the 2015 AjPHA Youth World Show have been named, and they are Rebecca Figueroa with Just Say Whoa and Kate Petrusse with Specially Vested.
The World Championship in Novice Youth Horsemanship 13 and Under is Figueroa’s second World title of the horse show. Just yesterday, 14-year-old Figueroa and her horse “Chevy” were named the World Champions in Novice Youth 13 and Under Trail. The Reserve World Champion in Horsemanship today was Alexa Rogers with Shez Eye Candy. Earlier in the show, 11-year-old Rogers rode her 7-year-old gelding, Gotta Be Sensational, to win a World Championship in Novice Youth 13 and Under Hunter Under Saddle.
Coming in third in Horsemanship was Sabine Lazo with Just Plain English; this pair was named the World Champions in Novice Youth 13 and Under Showmanship earlier this week. Fourth place was Justin Letjelusche with Shinning Goodies. This team was named the Reserve World Champions in Novice Youth 13 and Under Trail yesterday. Rounding out an impressive top five was Raygan Follis with Mr Cool Zippo.
In Novice Youth 14-18 Horsemanship, Kate Petrusse rode Specially Vested to the win. The Reserve World Champion was Kirsten Pfab with Heza Texas Hobo. Placing third was Abigail Merschman with Kewl Zippin Strider. Fourth place was Veronica John with Pour Me A Cuervo. Fifth place was Lily Anderson with Miss Mesmerized.
