AQHA and Breyer Collaborate to Commemorate AQHA Best Remuda-winning Ranches
The Best Remuda Breyer was created to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the American Quarter Horse Association and commemorate the ranches that have shaped the breed.

The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to share a new collaboration with household name, Breyer. AQHA is partnering with Breyer to create the AQHA 85th Anniversary Best Remuda Model, a replica of the standards of the breed adorned with the brands of some of the AQHA Best Remuda-winning ranches. This work of art was made to celebrate both the 85th anniversary of the Association and the traditions that have formed within it.
The model was inspired by several sectors of AQHA, the silver color is meant to mimic the trophies that have been given over the years to horses that have excelled in their chosen discipline, while the hand-painted brands are those of the ranches that keep the breed thriving through their breeding programs. Both of these concepts live on a model that is meant to represent the traditional conformation of the American Quarter Horse.
AQHA is thrilled to announce that during BreyerFest 2025, a celebration of the horse for fans and enthusiasts, a Best Remuda Breyer will be auctioned off for charity. A portion of the proceeds will go to the AQHA Ranching Heritage Intern Scholarship fund, which assists in developing future generations of ranchers. This event is set to take place July 11-13 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

The American Quarter Horse Association created the Best Remuda Award to honor the contributions that ranch horses have made to the heritage of the American Quarter Horse. Since its beginning in 1992, the award has recognized 32 U. S. and six international ranches for their efforts in raising American Quarter Horses – an important tool of their trade.
